Confirmation based on your records

A pregnancy confirmation letter may record a documented pregnancy and expected due date where supported by the evidence. Tell us who needs the letter and exactly what they have requested.

What to have ready

  • The organisation’s written requirements and the purpose of the letter.
  • Relevant maternity, scan or clinician records supporting your request.
  • The details you consent to include and any deadline you have been given.
A confirmation letter is not a fit-to-fly assessment. Check whether the organisation requires a specific official form instead of a private letter.

Your questions, answered.

Do I need a MATB1 certificate instead?

If this is for maternity pay or benefits, check which evidence the employer or benefits office requires before buying a private letter. MATB1 is an official maternity certificate issued by a doctor or midwife. Our £39.99 private confirmation letter is a separate document and is not advertised as a MATB1 service. Read GOV.UK guidance on proof of pregnancy.

What does the assessment fee include?

The fee includes GP review, a phone or video call if needed for this assessment, and a signed PDF letter if clinically appropriate. Payment does not guarantee a letter. If no letter is issued, the assessment fee is refunded in full.

What if I need a correction?

Contact us with your request reference if you notice an administrative error. One administrative correction is included. New dates, new medical information or a different purpose may require a further assessment; we will explain any fee before you agree.

What happens if my deadline is close?

We review requests as promptly as we can once we have a complete request and payment. Further evidence or a consultation may extend the time to a final decision. We cannot guarantee a letter by your deadline, so please request it in good time.

How are refunds handled?

If no letter is issued, we arrange a full refund to the original payment method and email confirmation. Your payment provider determines when the funds appear in your account. Contact us if you need help tracing a refund.

Is this the same as a pregnancy fit-to-fly letter?

No. Confirmation of pregnancy does not assess whether air travel is appropriate. Explore pregnancy fit-to-fly letters for travel requests.

Can a letter replace a required maternity form?

Do not assume so. Ask the receiving organisation which document it requires before paying for a private letter.

Will you confirm information without evidence?

The GP must have sufficient supporting information. Further records or a consultation may be needed, and a letter cannot be guaranteed.

A personal review. A considered decision.

You will confirm your identity and complete the relevant medical questionnaire. A GP will review your information and may request further evidence or a phone or video consultation. Letters will only be issued when clinically appropriate.

Clear expectations, before you start.

A GP reviews each request as promptly as possible. More information or a consultation may be needed before a decision, so we cannot guarantee when a letter will be issued.

If approved, your signed letter is provided as a PDF. We will email instructions for receiving it securely. If no letter is issued, you receive a full refund. The price above covers this assessment.
