Know what to expect
£39.99, clearly explained
The fee covers your sick-note assessment. Payment does not guarantee a letter. If no letter is issued, you receive a full refund.
Prompt GP review
We review requests as promptly as we can. Further information or a consultation may be needed, so we cannot guarantee when a letter will be issued.
For adults in the UK
Our service is for UK residents aged 18 or over. A GP will decide whether your request can be assessed safely online.
Electronic delivery
If a letter is appropriate, it will be delivered electronically. You will be given clear instructions for receiving it.
Have these details ready
Before starting, check your employer’s requirements and prepare:
- Photographic ID and a device with a camera for the live identity check.
- Your symptoms, when they started and how they affect your work.
- Your job role and the dates you have been unable to work.
- Relevant treatment details or medical evidence, if available.
Use our secure online request form. Please do not email medical records or identity documents.
A clear route to a clinical decision
1. Confirm your identity
Photographic ID and a live selfie help us confirm that the request is really from you. Instructions and support will be provided in the verification journey.
2. Complete your questionnaire
Tell us about your symptoms and work, provide relevant evidence securely and complete the consent and payment steps before GP review.
3. GP review
A GP reviews your request and may ask for further information or a phone or video consultation. Some requests need an in-person assessment elsewhere.
4. Your outcome
If appropriate, your letter is issued electronically. If no letter is issued, we explain the decision and provide a full refund.
Your questions, answered
What does the assessment fee include?
The fee includes GP review, a phone or video call if needed for this assessment, and a signed PDF letter if clinically appropriate. Payment does not guarantee a letter. If no letter is issued, the assessment fee is refunded in full.
What if I need a correction?
Contact us with your request reference if you notice an administrative error. One administrative correction is included. New dates, new medical information or a different purpose may require a further assessment; we will explain any fee before you agree.
What happens if my deadline is close?
We review requests as promptly as we can once we have a complete request and payment. Further evidence or a consultation may extend the time to a final decision. We cannot guarantee a letter by your deadline, so please request it in good time.
How are refunds handled?
If no letter is issued, we arrange a full refund to the original payment method and email confirmation. Your payment provider determines when the funds appear in your account. Contact us if you need help tracing a refund.
Is a sick note guaranteed?
No. Every request is assessed individually. A letter is issued only when clinically appropriate and supported by the information available.
Will I need to speak to a GP?
You may need a phone or video consultation if the GP needs further clinical information. A questionnaire alone will not be sufficient for every request.
Will my employer accept it?
Check your employer’s requirements before requesting a private medical letter. We cannot guarantee the receiving organisation’s decision.
What is the difference between a private sick note and an NHS fit note?
Our service provides a private medical certificate following a GP assessment. Check that this is the document your employer requires. For an NHS fit note, contact your NHS healthcare professional; NHS guidance explains the free fit-note route.
Can a letter cover earlier dates?
Tell the GP when your symptoms and absence began, and provide relevant evidence. The GP decides whether the available information supports a retrospective opinion. Requested dates cannot be guaranteed, and the date the certificate is issued must remain accurate.
How do I apply?
Complete the secure identity check, questionnaire and payment. A GP will then review your request.
