Explain the health information your employer needs

Our service can consider letters about documented medical conditions and their impact at work, including requests for workplace support. The GP will decide what can be supported by the evidence and assessed remotely.

What to have ready

  • What your employer is asking for, including any specific questions or form.
  • Your role, main duties and how your health affects them.
  • Relevant clinical evidence and which information you consent to share.
This service is not a replacement for a specialist occupational health assessment or a safety-critical fitness-for-work medical. Your employer decides how to respond to any recommendations.

Your questions, answered.

Can you certify fitness for a safety-critical job?

This service provides supporting GP evidence, rather than a statutory or specialist occupational health medical. Driving, operating machinery, aviation and other safety-critical roles may require an approved examiner or occupational health assessment. Check the employer’s required route first.

What does the assessment fee include?

The fee includes GP review, a phone or video call if needed for this assessment, and a signed PDF letter if clinically appropriate. Payment does not guarantee a letter. If no letter is issued, the assessment fee is refunded in full.

What if I need a correction?

Contact us with your request reference if you notice an administrative error. One administrative correction is included. New dates, new medical information or a different purpose may require a further assessment; we will explain any fee before you agree.

What happens if my deadline is close?

We review requests as promptly as we can once we have a complete request and payment. Further evidence or a consultation may extend the time to a final decision. We cannot guarantee a letter by your deadline, so please request it in good time.

How are refunds handled?

If no letter is issued, we arrange a full refund to the original payment method and email confirmation. Your payment provider determines when the funds appear in your account. Contact us if you need help tracing a refund.

Do I need this or a sick note?

If your request is simply evidence of illness-related absence, start with our sick notes page. This page covers other workplace documentation.

Can you recommend adjustments?

A GP may be able to explain health-related needs and suggest adjustments where supported by the assessment. Complex or safety-critical situations may need occupational health advice.

Will my employer receive my whole medical history?

A letter should contain only information relevant to its purpose and agreed with you. Check what your employer actually needs before requesting it.

A personal review. A considered decision.

You will confirm your identity and complete the relevant medical questionnaire. A GP will review your information and may request further evidence or a phone or video consultation. Letters will only be issued when clinically appropriate.

Clear expectations, before you start.

A GP reviews each request as promptly as possible. More information or a consultation may be needed before a decision, so we cannot guarantee when a letter will be issued.

If approved, your signed letter is provided as a PDF. We will email instructions for receiving it securely. If no letter is issued, you receive a full refund. The price above covers this assessment.
